Chris Haney,  Temecula, CA Chris Haney, along with good friend Mike Mabe, of the early 80's 1/4 mile drag and street  KRE  Turbocharged Karmann Ghia "Street Cleaner" fame, built the engine for this car.  Kawell Racing Engines  was proud to be involved with consult on the engine combination and doing the cylinder head work. Entire Crew Members credits and acknowledgements will be given as soon as they are known. Dave and Judy, The first race went well. We ran into some race ending issues in the 2nd lap. It was a tranny mount that we had thought about replacing but could not find the time to do it. The motor was incredible. We had started about 11th and reeled in the competion down to about 7th. The Kawell stickers on the car really got some attention at pre tech inspection. That motor really MOVES ! Attached are some pics. I really appreciate your help with this motor; we should have all the new car bugs worked out by the next race in May and will keep you posted on upcoming events and results. Just a heads up we will be running at the 40th anniversary Baja 1000 this year in November  (this is a televised event on NBC). Will talk with you soon, thanks again for your support....
